Crooks and Liars has the story that Richard Shelby Threatens Filibuster Over Auto Bailout. Now as they point out, this is not really a surprise since his state, with foreign automakers, would stand to benefit from the Big 3 failing.

But it is even more than that. This I suspect is the start of what we will see the GOP attempt a lot of over the next couple of years, filibustering their way through so that in 2010, they can cry how the Democrats “aren’t doing anything.”
